7 Michigan Cities On List Of 100 Most Dangerous In America for 2016

NeighborhoodScout.com has released its annual list for the most dangerous cities in America – and apparently Michigan isn't doing all that great, as seven communities in our state made the top 100.

7. Flint, MI
8. Saginaw, MI
39. Kalamazoo, MI
50. Lansing, MI
79. Jackson, MI
84. Battle Creek
The website's research looked at violent crimes (per 1,000 residents) in cities with a population of 25,000 or greater. Violent crimes include murder, rape, armed robbery and aggravated assault.
The only two cities more dangerous than Detroit are East St. Louis, IL and Camden, NJ.
