HOWELL (WWJ) — Michigan State Police apprehended three suspects after a high-speed chase along I-96 on Friday afternoon.

The chase started in Ingham County and ended when the driver lost control of the stolen vehicle on an exit ramp at M-59 in Howell. Police say the chase topped out at speeds of over 100 miles per hour.

MSP K-9 units located three suspects who fled from the vehicle on foot.

The car involved — a 2012 Audi Q5 — had been stolen out of the Muskegon area. A stolen handgun was found in the vehicle.

The case remains under investigation.
