Colorado-Based Brewer Orders 2,500 Bikes From Detroit Company
DETROIT (AP) - Colorado-based brewer New Belgium Brewing Company has ordered 2,500 custom bicycles from a Detroit company in celebration of its 25th anniversary.
New Belgium's order is with Detroit Bikes, which has had to add shifts and double its workforce to 40 people.
MLive.com reports that a news release says the custom bikes can be obtained through a New Belgium fundraiser or a giveaway or by an employee with the brewer that's celebrating a one-year anniversary with the company. The brewer gives employees bicycles as a one-year anniversary gift.
WXYZ-TV reports the Detroit company expects to be done with the order by late May.
