A memorial and monument to remember officers who lost their lives in the line of duty at this precinct.

Current officers, family and community members turned out for the unveiling of three memorials; one which sits in a small garden with the words 'Never Forgotten.'

Detroit Police Chief James Craig remembering those officers and saying they'll stay in the hearts and minds of all -- telling WWJ Newsradio 950's Stephanie Davis about losing a partner.

"I learned Everett Williams, assigned to the 10th precinct, who was my partner when I was here in the '70s -- really broke me in on the job," said Craig.  "And I learned that he was killed in the line of duty."

The 11th Precinct has lost five officers in the line of duty since 1936.
