Funeral Held For Toddler Shot In Detroit; In 'Lord's Arms'

EASTPOINTE (AP) — A carriage pulled by horses has carried the casket of a 2-year-old Detroit girl who was fatally shot in a car.

A funeral for Makanzee Oldham was held Saturday at a church in Eastpointe. The Rev. Kevin Lancaster says the toddler is "home and in the Lord's arms."

Makanzee was shot on May 25 and died a few days later. Three men are charged with murder, including a 30-year-old accused of pulling the trigger. They're also charged with attempted murder because there were others in the car.

Police said a fight erupted after someone poured juice on a woman getting ready for prom.

Bishop Daryl Harris, speaking on behalf of Detroit officials, promised mourners that police will ensure that "justice is served."
