Police Identify Person Of Interest In Rape Of Flight Attendant At Hotel

ROMULUS (WWJ) - Romulus police have identified a person of interest in the rape of an 18-year-old flight attendant last week.

Authorities believe 44-year-old Dwuan Parkman may be connected to the incident — which took place last Monday after the teen was dropped off by a taxi, along with co-workers, at the Days Inn across from Detroit Metro Airport.

Parkman is described as around 6 feet tall and 190 lbs. with hazel eyes.

He is wanted on a probation violation.

Surveillance imaged previously released to the public [see them here] show a suspect arriving at around the same time as the victim, and loitering in and around the hotel — on Middlebelt, just south of I-94 — before disappearing from view.

Police are trying to determine how the suspect got into the teen's room. No weapons were seen and police said the door to the room was not damaged.

Anyone who recognizes this person of interest or who has any information about the case is asked to call Romulus investigators at 734-942-6879 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
