Reports: Young, Single Mother Dies After Being Run Over By Vehicle

MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) -- A young mother who was run over by a vehicle last week has died after being taken off of life support on Sunday, multiple reports indicate.

Julie Williamson, 27, of Mount Clemens was run over around 4:30 a.m. on July 10. Her family suspects that her boyfriend was somehow involved with the incident, according to WJBK, and that this was a case of domestic violence.

Williamson was taken to McLaren Hospital with multiple injuries -- including broken bones and brain trauma -- following the incident.

"She had every single rib broken but two and her collarbones," Williamson's mother Cheryl Simmons told WDIV. "They did a cat scan and there was a gray area which meant lack of oxygen."

A GoFundMe page has been created to benefit Williamson's two children.

"Unfortunately, due to acts of domestic violence this ended her life not the way anyone's life should be taken," the page says.

The incident remains under investigation by the Macomb County Sheriff's Department.
