Employee Dies After Getting Pinned Between Vehicles At Ford Dealership

DEARBORN (WWJ) - A 59-year-old Lincoln Park man has died after he was pinned between two vehicles while working at a Ford dealership in Dearborn.

The accident happened Tuesday morning in the new truck lot at Fairlane Ford on Michigan Avenue between Greenfield and Schaefer roads.

Police say the victim was moving new vehicles as part of his daily duties when the incident occurred. At some point, a vehicle driven by the victim struck another vehicle that was unoccupied and parked in the same lot. The victim was discovered by co-workers partially outside of the vehicle he had been driving and pinned against the other parked vehicle.

The man was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition but later died of his injuries, according to police.

At this time, investigators say it's uncertain whether the man suffered from a medical condition or was fatally injured as a result of the collision.

The man's name will not be released until after his family is notified.

An investigation is ongoing.
