1 Killed When Car And Semi Truck Collide In Roseville
ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - One person is dead after a crash that shut down 13 Mile Road in Roseville for a few hours.
It happened Wednesday afternoon as a car was pulling out of the parking lot of a Kroger store, according to Roseville police, crashing into a semi truck that was passing by.
The driver of the car, identified as an 80-year-old woman from St. Clair Shores, was taken by EMS to a local hospital where she died a short time later.
The truck driver was not injured.
Police said that an investigation is ongoing and that it would be several days before it's completed. As of now, police have not determined who was at fault.
A section of 13 Mile was closed between Little Mack and Harper for a time following the accident but it has since reopened to traffic.
The victim's name was not released pending notification of her family.
