DETROIT (CBS Detroit) — The Detroit Tigers game on Saturday, September 24, vs. the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park has been selected for a national television broadcast by FOX.
Due to the national telecast, first pitch for the game has been changed to 1:05 p.m.
After dropping two of three games to the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend, the Tigers now sit two games behind the second and final Wild Cared spot in the American League.
With 20 games remaining on their schedule, the Tigers risk missing the playoffs for the second straight year under Brad Ausmus.
The Tigers remain seven games behind the Cleveland Indians in the A.L. Central but play the Tribe seven more times before the season ends.
