Detroit Police Search For Missing Diabetic Man

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking the public for help in locating a missing 51-year-old man who suffers from diabetes.

Police say Darryl DeLaughter was last seen around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at his home in the 7400 block of Woodmont, in a west side neighborhood along Warren Avenue between Southfield and Greenfield roads.

DeLaughter walked away from his home willingly, according to police.

DeLaughter is in good physical and mental condition, but relatives are especially worried because he is a diabetic and might not have his medication.

DeLaughter is described as a bald black male with a medium brown complexion, 5'11" tall and 190 lbs. with brown eyes, a goatee and mustache.  He was last seen wearing  a black shirt, blue jeans, black gym shoes and a black baseball cap.

Anyone with information on DeLaughter's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 313-596-5640 or 313-596-1616.
