Reported Attendance At Twins, Tigers Game Baffles Those Looking At Photos

MINNEAPOLIS – Maybe the Minnesota Twins organization can see dead people.

The empty Minnesota Twins stadium on a sunny Thursday afternoon prompted several questions and snarky comments and tweets among co-workers when the organization announced the attendance for the day.

The Twins organization stated for the record (what many are calling a partial sellout) 18,374 fans.

The makeup game between the Tigers and Twins on Thursday ends up being the first of two games today. Difficult to see where that 18k plus figure came from — wonder if they’ll have enough time to clear the stadium before the evening crowd comes in?

  1. They lied when they said they would use the additional revenue from this new stadium to improve the club. They lied when they said they were putting together a major league roster. They lied about the attendance. The only question that remains is why anyone would pay major league prices to buy a ticket to see minor league ball?
