PLYMOUTH (WWJ) – Two Livonia teens are dead following a fiery crash in Plymouth Township.

Livonia Police Captain Robert Nenciarini says the two were seen driving recklessly in a Ford Mustang late Saturday night around Garfield Elementary.

“They were doing donuts in the parking lot,” said Nenciarini. “And had struck some trash cans also, so when our officers had got there, the callers had said, they had left the parking lot – our cars got in the area and saw them on Yale at Plymouth road – which is just a couple of blocks from the school.

Police tried to pull the car over, but the driver took-off. A few minutes later police in the City of Plymouth were called to a single-vehicle crash at Plymouth Road and Haggerty.

“We were eventually notified by Plymouth that it looked like our vehicle was involved in a crash in their town on Plymouth Road around Haggerty and it apparently burst into flames and the occupants were deceased,” said Nenciarini.

Inside, were two 14-year old boys from Livonia — they were freshman at Churchill High School.

Police say the vehicle they were driving was stolen from a business in Plymouth Township.

  1. I feel so bad for their families….

  2. Linda Simmons says:

Most of us have made poor choices growing up. Some people sound cynical and judgmental and it adds to the sadness of this horrific accident. These boys didn’t deserve to die. We pray for the families and friends of these children and for the souls of these now precious angels. Rest with God little ones. Rest with God. Where there is darkness let their be light. May your mothers tears be less with each passing year. You will not be forgotten for you live in our hearts forever. Parents, please hug your children…They will always be your babies.

  3. Kim Riley says:

They didn’t deserve to die–but they themselves chose to when they stole a car and they’re not even old enough to drive yet. They could have killed other people besides themselves. Precious angels? Someone needs to teach these precious angels the difference between right and wrong. Parents, please teach your babies responsibility and the difference between right and wrong. If these babies had learned that–they would still be alive today.
