Michigan defensive back Jourdan Lewis will be one of the top NFL prospects going into next year’s draft for a reason.

Lewis made a crazy, one-handed interception late in Saturday night’s game against Wisconsin as Badgers quarterback Alex Hornibrook heaved a desperation pass down the middle of the field.

The Odell Beckham Jr.-esque grab sealed Michigan’s 14-7 victory and created quite a stir on social media.

Lewis’ coach and teammates had plenty to say about the play following the game as well.

The win sent the Wolverines to 5-0 on the season. Jim Harbaugh’s crew will take to the road for the first time this season next week when they travel to take on Rutgers.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Michigan fan and have been ever since I lived in Ann Arbor as a little kid from ’72-’78, and I realize the interception was a very athletic, acrobatic play, but am I the only one who realizes that he actually HURT the team by intercepting that ball??? He should have just knocked it down. It was 4th down, and Wisconsin had the ball at like their own 8yard line. If he had just knocked the ball down, we woulda had the ball, 1st and goal from the 8, and very well might have put the game away with a decisive TD to make it 21-7. Instead, we got the ball at midfield and just BARELY were able to run out the clock without having to attempt a punt from midfield, and I’m sure all Michigan fans remember what happened last time we had to do that. You could even kinda tell by Harbaugh’s immediate reaction to the interception that he knew it was actually not a smart play…again, very athletic and acrobatic, but not very smart. I can’t believe no one on ABC pointed that out. Luckily, didn’t come back to haunt us. That all being said, Go Blue!
