Mike Valenti and Jeff Riger started the Valenti and Foster program Tuesday afternoon asking a pretty simple question: Is Jim Caldwell the most hated coach in Detroit sports history?

Valenti has his answer already.

"Jim Caldwell is the most hated coach in the history of this city," Valenti said to start the show. "You name whoever you want, whatever sport you want. It's gotta be pro. I believe there has been no coach to produce this level of vitriol that can outdo Jim Caldwell.

"You go through Lions history, you look at some of the bad coaches, no one was universally hated. I think people looked at Marty Mornhinweg and just thought he was an idiot, or they looked at Mooch as a savior who failed or Marinelli was just over his head. Caldwell stands up there acting like Bill Belichick, I think people actually hate this man."
