$10,000 Reward Offered In Fatal Shooting Of Jogger In July

ROSE TOWNSHIP (WWJ/AP) - The reward has been increased to $10,000 for information that solves the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old nurse in Oakland County.

Alexandra Brueger was shot multiple times and killed while jogging on Fish LakeRoad, in rural Rose Township, on the afternoon of July 30. Brueger, who regularly went for 10-mile runs, collapsed on a resident's front lawn and died.

There have been dozens of tips but no arrests. Police have been looking for a light-color four-door sedan that may have been speeding on Fish Lake Road between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on July 30.

State police say $5,000 is being offered by the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and $5,000 is being offered by Crime Stoppers.

Police have been looking for a light-color four-door sedan that may have been speeding on Fish Lake Road between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. on July 30.

Brueger's parents have said she had no enemies.

"Alexandra was loved by family and many friends, and is greatly missed by all those who knew her," State Police Lt. Michael Shaw said in a statement. "She was also a nurse at a local hospital who unselfishly cared for others in need every day and impacting the lives of many in the area."
