Oakland County Man Charged With Soliciting Child For Sex

AUBURN HILLS (WWJ) - A 29-year-old Auburn Hills man is facing a felony charge after authorities say he solicited an underage person for a sexual act.

Adam Hopper was arrested Friday and arraigned in 52-3rd District Court on one count of accosting, enticing or soliciting child for immoral purposes.

A plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf, he posted 10 percent of a $25,000 bond and was released on a GPS tether.

According to Auburn Hills Police Lt. Jill McDonnell, Hopper knew the victim from the neighborhood. She said investigators aren't sure at this time if there are other children he had contact with. Police did not release the age of the child, only saying that he or she was under 16 years old.

Hopper faces up to four years in prison if convicted and will be back in court for a probable cause conference set for Nov. 10.

As an instigation continues, anyone with information about this case is asked to call Auburn Hills police at 248-370-9460.
