Police Find Woman, 2 Men Shot To Death While Responding To Welfare Check

LANSING (AP) - Police say three people have been found apparently shot to death in Lansing after officers were sent to check on the welfare of a resident.

Officers went to a residence about 1:15 a.m. Friday and entered the building. Police say in a statement that they found a woman and two men, all in their mid- to late-20s, who appeared to have been shot to death. Their names weren't immediately confirmed.

Circumstances of the deaths weren't released Friday morning, but police say they don't believe there is an ongoing public safety concern and no one was being sought in the investigation. Autopsies are planned and investigators were at the scene Friday.
