Driver Killed In Fiery Crash On Southfield Freeway

DETROIT (WWJ) - One person is dead following an overnight crash and fire on the Southfield Freeway.

The crash happened late Tuesday night near Plymouth Road. Circumstances leading to the crash weren't immediately clear, but the vehicle burst into flames.

Police at this time are not able to confirm whether the victim is male or female from the wreckage and fire. An autopsy is expected Wednesday.

Michigan State Police are investigating.
