Thousands Without Power Following Gusty Overnight Storms
DETROIT (WWJ) - Thousands of people across metro Detroit woke up Tuesday morning without power, thanks to an overnight storm that downed tree limbs and power lines.
Strong winds and heavy rains left as many as 10,000 homes and businesses off the grid. The largest concentration of outages is located around the 8 Mile and Telegraph area between Detroit and Southfield, and along 8 Mile just west of Merriman Road in Farmington.
Check the DTE outage map, HERE.
DTE anticipates have the power restored by or before the end of the day.
