Deputies Find Man Stabbed, Dying On Couch After Hearing 'Gurgling Noises' During 911 Call

PONTIAC (WWJ) -- Authorities in Oakland County are investigating after a man died from apparent stab wounds on Friday morning.

Oakland County deputies responded after someone was heard making "moaning and gurgling noises" during a 911 call around 10 a.m. on Friday morning.

When deputies arrived to the home on the 60 block of W. Rundell Ave. a woman's voice could be heard from inside the house telling the officers that the "were not needed."

Deputies convinced the woman to let them in the house, where they found a man with significant stab wounds to his abdomen lying on the living room couch.

Paramedics were called to the house and took the victim -- a 47-year-old Pontiac man -- to McLaren Hospital, where he died from his wounds.

The 52-year-old Pontiac woman refused to speak to detectives and was held at the Oakland County Jail pending the issuance of criminal charges.

An investigation is ongoing.
