Suspect In Custody After Deadly Shooting At Inkster Lounge
INKSTER (WWJ) - A man believed to be involved in a murder at a nightclub in Inkster early Saturday morning is now in custody.
According to police, a man was shot to death around 2 a.m. Saturday at the Stardust Lounge on Inkster Road at Carlysle Street, just south of Michigan Avenue.
A private birthday party was being held at the club when shots rang out in the parking lot. Joseph Franklin, 26, of Dearborn was struck at least once; he was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Michigan State Police apprehended 28-year-old Rashad Bell later on Saturday afternoon after an extensive search.
Bell was described as armed and dangerous by police.
Police tell WWJ detectives interviewed approximately 50 witnesses, trying to piece together exactly what happened.
