DEARBORN (WWJ/AP) – A Detroit-area civil rights organization is urging anyone from countries listed in President Donald Trump’s immigration ban wishing to travel to the United State to do so quickly following a federal judge’s decision to block the order.

Arab American Civil Rights League Director Rula Aoun tells The Detroit News Saturday that the group is instructing people who can travel immediately to go ahead.

“What we’re doing now is instructing people who can travel immediately to the United States to basically go ahead and do that before anything further happens,” Aoun said.

Aoun says one family intends to return from Egypt Sunday, while another woman in Egypt, who was denied a visa, is booking a flight.

Trump’s temporary ban stalls entry for people from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Libya and Yemen. The State Department canceled visas for 60,000 or more people.

The White House has said it would try to get a court to reinstate the ban.

May 3, 2006 – without violent force within a few decades, said Libyan Leader Moammar Gadhafi in a speech aired on the Arab satellite network Al Jazeera.

“We have 50 million Muslims in Europe,” Gadhafi said. “There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe – without swords, without guns, without conquests. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”

“Europe is in a predicament, and so is America,” Gadhafi said. “They should agree to become Islamic in the course of time, or else declare war on the Muslims.”
