The 25th anniversary of that tragic day — and DeLisle’s own words for the first time — are the focus of a special report today on WWJ 950 and CBS Detroit, along with stories from the eyewitness, police, the judge, investigators and attorneys.
In a letter to WWJ, he writes he still grieves the death of his children.

“I remember how cute little boy’s knees are and I saw his legs hanging there, just limp,” Lake said.
Five members of the jury said they were aware DeLisle had confessed even though the confession had been tossed out before trial, Mitzelfeld said.
And then there’s this: “I have moments where I say ‘Well, maybe, and this is just me talking, maybe it was an accident.’ But you know you start thinking and putting it together, when he told me about the gas pedal, the cramp, that’s manufactured, and I believe it he did it on purpose.”
