Nick Fairley said Sunday that he believes the Lions defense can be more effective than any other defense in the NFL – past or present.
With the Detroit Lions offense shorthanded, the Lions were able to rely on their defense in a win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Detroit’s defense was dominant again, making Teddy Bridgewater look like a rookie and Minnesota like a depleted team.
The Lions have lost 15 of their past 16 games at Minnesota and finished 7-23 at the Metrodome.
Jamie and Wojo have consulted with Lions fans and concocted a formula to determine whether or not this season will be another labled “Same Old Lions.”
“Once I got to the locker room, I kind of remember some stuff,” Bell said. “[On the sideline] I didn’t remember everything, though. I can’t remember what I couldn’t remember, but by the time I got in I remembered just about everything.”
Prater, the third kicker for the Lions this season, will debut with the team on the road Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
“We have people in the building that have gone through similar issues and problems that we think have a lot in common with him in terms of being able to give him a support system,” Caldwell said.
Off three straight 4-1 weeks, we are going undefeated this time around.
Matt Prater will be the third Lions kicker of the season when he starts in Minnesota on Sunday.
