An abandoned apartment building has gone up in flames in Detroit — keeping firefighters busy for Saturday afternoon.
“As the abandoned properties come down, property values will go up, and crime will go down,” the governor said.
“Arnold House has become a terrible eyesore,” said BSEED Deputy Director Raymond Scott.
The flames broke out early Monday morning on Oakwood Blvd. near Dix.
The old Michigan Bell building is being converted into an apartment building for the homeless.
