William E. King has been appointed president of the Ann Arbor fuel cell manufacturer Ultra Electronics AMI. King replaces Aaron Crumm, who founded what was originally Adaptive Materials Inc.
With the delivery of 15 field-ready fuel cells, Ultra Electronics AMI, formerly known as Adaptive Materials Inc., said Wednesday it had completed its $4.2 million multi-year contract with the U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center to provide fuel cells for unmanned ground vehicles.
Fuel cell entrepreneur Aaron Crumm, president of the Ann Arbor-based AMI business unit of the United Kingdom’s Ultra Electronics, is the star of the latest entrepreneurial podcast from the economic development agency Ann Arbor Spark.
