Baker College Of Jackson Cyber Defense Team Wins State Title, Advances To Regional

Students from Baker College of Jackson won the Michigan Collegiate Cyber Defense competition in Grand Rapids. The 10-member team competed against teams from colleges and universities throughout the state and will represent Michigan at the Midwest regional competition, March 28-29, in Palos Hills, Ill.

Baker College Of Flint Design-Build Contest Uses Canned Food, Benefits Food Bank

To prove that design can feed the soul and feed the hungry, a group of Baker College of Flint students is bringing the national Canstruction competition to Flint, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26. The contest brings teams together to design and build structures using cans of food that will ultimately be donated to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.

NSF Grant Boosts New Photonics, Laser Education At Baker College of Flint

Baker College of Flint has received nearly $200,000 in a grant from the National Science Foundation that fast-forwards the state’s first photonics and laser technology associate degree program being launched fall quarter. Classes begin Sept. 30.
