Two Michigan school superintendents will participate in a forum with President Barack Obama at the White House on Wednesday.
The 88-year-old Dingell entered the U.S. House at age 29 when he won a special election after the death of his father, U.S. Rep. John Dingell Sr. The elder Dingell took the seat in 1933.
About 6,000 people cheered Obama, as he rallied for Schauer and Senate candidate Gary Peters. Obama said that the economy is good-shape, but could be better.
Snyder’s criticism directed toward Obama is typically a broader critique of “Washington” and its culture of political infighting.
