As a result of the suspension, the Red Wings are approaching their most important game of the season to date without their best defenseman.
“It’s the playoffs,” Babcock said . “In the series except for Game 2 and Game, this was 6 tonight, there was no space, period.”
Ben Bishop made 22 saves for the Lightning, although it was his counterpart, Petr Mrazek, who had the stop of the night — and maybe the season.
“We went down [to Tampa] and played a really solid game,” Kronwall said after the Game 6 loss. “That’s what we’ve got to do again.”
