Great Lakes research, restoration, conservation and the lakes’ economic impact highlighted discussions today at a symposium sponsored by Central Michigan University’s Institute for Great Lakes Research.
Central Michigan University’s Institute for Great Lakes Research will bring the nation’s leading Great Lakes policy adviser to campus Friday, April 4, as part of a symposium titled “Great Lakes Science in Action: An Interdisciplinary and Multi-Institutional Approach.”
Central Michigan University students and faculty are able to increase their scientific research on the Great Lakes thanks to the purchase of a 32.5-foot vessel by the CMU College of Science and Technology.
This time last year, the finishing touches were just being put on Michigan Technological University’s Great Lakes Research Center. Researchers were starting to move in, and plans were being made for a mid-summer building dedication.
