At the NFL owners meetings this week, someone made a comment to Lions head coach Jim Caldwell about his quarterback Matthew Stafford.
The Green Bay Packers begin their playoff season against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday at Lambeau Field and Aaron Rodgers will be a part of it. The MVP favorite quarterback has been nursing a strained calf to his left leg. The Packers list five players on their injury report and the Cowboys list 12 players on theirs.
Some expect the Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers game to be a shootout between the NFL’s top rated passers. However, the Packers coach considers running back DeMarco Murray to be the difference.
The Green Bay Packers do not have to play this Sunday. That is a good thing as quarterback Aaron Rodgers will be able to get some extra rest before the Packers begin their run toward the Super Bowl. They will host one of three teams in the Divisional Round. Their opponent will be determined by the outcome of the Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys game.
I’m not debating whether it was or wasn’t a catch or that the officials missed the call, because they clearly did.
