A St. Clair Shores gas station owner was so upset by the road work affecting his business that he took matters into his own hands…and now he’s facing jail time.
The road there will be expanded to five lanes and a bridge will be built over the CSX Railroad tracks.
Construction barrels are being deployed for a major project that’ll affect thousands and thousands of people every day.
For most of the year, Crooks Road will be reduced to one lane in either direction between Austin Avenue and the Star Batt/Avon Industrial drives.
Among the major projects getting underway this week: I-696 in Warren, I-94 in Port Huron and M-39 in Southfield and Detroit.
