Patrick Marleau got his first point of the series when he knocked home a rebound with 7:47 to play and the San Jose Sharks finally managed to knock out the Detroit Red Wings on their fourth try with a 3-2 victory Thursday night in Game 7 of their Western Conference semifinal series.
11:06pm- The 3rd period has started with the “Beat Detroit” chant and San Jose almost scores on a 2 on 1.
One week ago Wings fans everywhere knew their fate. Detroit had just lost game 3 to San Joe in overtime and trailed the best of seven series 3 games to none and it was hard not to think that once again the Wings would lose in the second round of the playoffs.
Is there anything more exciting than a deciding Game 7? Tonight we will find out what team will advance to the Western Conference Final to play the Vancouver Canucks.
