Authorities in Brighton say a woman was killed in a fire that heavily damaged her mobile home during the bitter cold early Sunday morning.
A 31-year-old woman was struck by several vehicles and killed as she walked along a Grand Blanc Township roadway after leaving a local bar.
The cause of the fire and the woman’s death are under investigation. The Kalamazoo Public Safety Department calls the fire “suspicious.”
Johnson, who had a 2-year-old son with O’Dell, asked her family for forgiveness at the hearing.
State police say they’re withholding the suspect’s name until after an arraignment in district court. The suspect was being held in the Marquette County jail.
Police said 26-year-old father of Shalisa O’Dell’s 2-year-old son confessed to her killing.
