Happy hour is the best hour of the day, any day of the week. Almost every place in the city has a happy hour, and each has its own unique specials. Happy Hour: Monday through Friday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The eclectic vibe, swank decor and modern offerings make this bistro the place to be on Mondays. Located in Midtown, this Parisian-inspired bistro is off the charts in everything that is offered, from the unusual menu pairings to the attentive staff and strong, elegantly crafted drinks. Art hanging on the walls is ever-changing and a great touch; quite apropos, as the Detroit Institute of Art is located next to the restaurant. The namesake of the restaurant is a nod to Rodin's "The Thinker" sculpture that sits in front of the museum. Happy hour menu and drink specials change often but have included salmon cake appetizers, croquettes and stuffed peppers, all for $5. Selected whites wine is $4, while red and well pours are $5. DJs spin frequently, and set up by the front window, which is a cool backdrop. Go for one of the greatest happy hours in the city, but linger for the ambiance.
