FYE (formerly Harmony House)

28297 Woodward Avenue
Berkley, MI 48072
248-544-1700
www.fye.com

The last surviving Harmony House location was taken over by FYE a few years ago, but to the delight of fans of that storied local chain of stores, many of the old employees stayed, which is great news when you're talking music. FYE recently dropped their prices because of the economy and proliferation of downloading music, so you can find many CDs which cost six to seven dollars more a few years ago at a very good price now. And maybe because this was an old Harmony House location with many of the same folks working there, it has a better selection than you'd find at an FYE in a mall. They started stocking vinyl again and they have a large section of used CDs and DVDs.

Solo Records and Tapes

Another store where you can spend a lot of time browsing their used selections of LPs, CDs and now DVDs. They recently moved and are now on a busier section of Woodward. This means they now have a higher rate of customer traffic coming in and out so their selection is always changing. They will also call you, if you'd like, if that certain rare used album you are looking for should come in.
