This week on Street Beat, host Amyre Makupson looks at the organizations that are helping people through difficult situations. First, Ashley Lowe, CEO of Lakeshore Legal Aid stops by to talk about helping people with civil cases who cannot afford an attorney. Then Dan DiBardino, the President of Crime Stoppers, explains how this program is helping police solve crimes. Next, Deleah Sharp discusses the Dean Samuels Foundation, a mentoring program for children of murder victims named after her deceased brother. Finally, Erin Frisch, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Office of Child Support director explains their "Dadvantage" program which encourages people to establish paternity at birth.
