A 40-year old Detroit man is dead after an accident Friday afternoon on westbound I-96 that had traffic backed up for a couple miles.
Michigan State Police say the man was thrown out of his SUV after it hit the median wall near Grand River Avenue.
Police say the driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. Roads were slippery in the area, according to troopers.
An investigation is ongoing.
