Slick, Snowy Roads Causing Spinouts

The drive has been slower than normal on local freeways as snow squalls move through southeast Michigan.

WWJ's John Bailey says a number of spinout accidents were reported since about 7:45 a.m Friday.   No serious injuries were reported.

Police advise drivers to slow down whenever roads are wet, slushy, and/or snow-covered.

Similar conditions may continue over the weekend as snow showers are expected to leave a fresh coating to an inch of snow on the ground and cause slick travel at times.

Here's the Accuweather Forecast:

Friday: Show showers; cold and cloudy. High 23.  Friday night: Show showers continue with a Low of 13.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with snow showers. High 25. Low 13.

Sunday: Partly sunny and cold. High 24. Low 14.
