Fire At Hardware Store In Hamburg Twp. Puts Halt In Area Traffic

HAMBURG TWP. (WWJ) -  Fire crews responding to the scene of a building fire in Hamburg Township in Livingston County put a crimp in local traffic moving through the area.

The county sheriff's department tells WWJ, the fire is at the Ward's Do-It-Yourself Hardware Store on M-36.

Police closed M-36 between Merrill and Hamburg Road while fire crews worked at the scene, the roads were later reopened to traffic. 

The sheriff's department says seven other communities offered mutual aid to help put the fire out.

No injuries have been reported.
