STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) – Van Dyke Avenue was closed for hours on Wednesday after a semi truck carrying 38,000 pounds of empty pickle jars flipped over while coming out of the roundabout at M-53.

Police shut down Van Dyke as well as the northbound entrance ramp to M-53 so crews could clean up following the crash. The fuel tank ruptured and diesel fuel spilled onto the roadway.
