Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again which means it's time for construction crews to hit the roads.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

M-10: (Lodge Fwy) *** FULL CLOSURE***

In Wayne County, south M-10 The Lodge between M-102 (8 Mile Road) and Meyers Road will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for emergency work to the retaining wall.  All the ramps will be closed as well on the Lodge southbound between the Southfield and Meyers and the service drive will be closed at McNichols. Detour is east 8 Mile to south I-75 to west Davison to south M-10.

I-275:

In Oakland County, north I-275 ramp to east M-5 will be closed from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday for road work. And east M-5 ramp to I-696 will have one lane closed.

In Oakland County, south I-275 near 8 Mile Road will have left lane closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday for maintenance work.

I-94:

In Wayne County, west I-94 exits to Airport/Merriman/Middle belt Roads will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 10 am Saturday, and 8 p.m. Saturday to 10 am Sunday, and 8 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, for road work. Airport traffic will be detoured to Vining Road exit to turn around for east I-94 to airport.

In Wayne County, east and west I-94 between M-10 and I-75 will have the two left lanes closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for bridge work at Woodward.

I-696:

In Oakland County, west I-696 exit and entrance ramps at Greenfield Road will be closed from 6 a.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday for road work.

In Oakland County, east I-696 from Greenfield to Coolidge roads will have one lane closed from 6 a.m. Saturday to 5 p.m. Sunday for road work.

In Oakland County, Evergreen Road will be closed from Civic Center Drive to I-696 beginning Saturday morning and running through on Monday. Civic Center Drive will be re-opened to thru traffic between Central Park Boulevard and Evergreen Road as an alternative.

I-75:

In Oakland County, north I-75 from Crooks to Coolidge roads the left lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for maintenance.

In Wayne County, south I-75 near Goddard Road will have two lanes closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday for bridge inspection.

M-15: (Ortonville Road)

In Oakland County, north and south M-15 between Wolfe Road and US-24 (Dixie Highway) will have one lane closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for road work.

M-150: (Rochester Road)

In Oakland County, north and south M-150 at M-59 will have one lane closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Oakland County, north and south M-150 between Avon Road and South Street will have one lane closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

M-24: (Lapeer Road)

In Oakland County, north and south M-24 (Lapeer Road) between Davison Lake Road and Harriet Street will have one lane closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for road work.

US-24: (Telegraph Road)

In Oakland County, north US-24 (Telegraph Road) at County Center Drive will have one lane closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday for maintenance work.

I-69: (Business Loop)

In St. Clair County, west I-69 (business loop) at 32nd Street will close 10 a.m. Sunday through August 2015 for road work.

Local Lanes:

In Macomb County, east and west 12 Mile Road near M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 12 p.m. Saturday for road work.

In Macomb County, east and west Old 13 Mile Road at M-53 (Van Dyke Avenue) will be closed for road work.

In Macomb County, west 11 Mile Road ramp to west I-696 will have one lane closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for maintenance work.

 Beginning the week of Monday, Sept. 29:

In Wayne County, north and south M-85 (Fort St) between Clark and Springwells streets will have multiple lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, north and south US-24 (Telegraph) near Warren Road will have one lane closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday for road work.
