WWJ’s Lorna Stevens said the freeway is shut down at Michigan Ave., Exit 22, and it may be “a lengthy closure.” Police seconded that, saying motorists should expect traffic delays in that area through the afternoon rush.

Traffic is stopped before Palmer. Stevens suggests Haggerty Road to get around it.
