The Michigan Department of Transportation says  I-96 is closed in both directions, express and local lanes, between Wyoming Avenue and M-8 (Davison Avenue). The closure is expected to end by 5 a.m. Monday.

Crews will be installing bridge supports for the reconstruction of the Cherrylawn Street pedestrian bridge.

- Westbound I-96 express lanes will be closed between Livernois Avenue/Grand River Avenue and M-39. The detour is westbound I-94 to northbound M-39.

Local lanes:

- Eastbound I-96 local lanes will be closed from Schaefer Highway to M-8. The detour is Schaefer Highway to Grand River Avenue, then the I-96 service drive to Livernois Avenue to I-96.

- Westbound I-96 local lanes will be closed from Livernois Avenue to Wyoming Avenue. The detour is the Livernois Avenue exit to the I-96 service drive to I-96. The Greenfield Road on ramp to westbound I-96 will also be closed.
