14 Mile Reopens After Water Main Break

STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - Fourteen Mile Road has reopened between Van Dyke and Mound Road after flooding caused by a water main break.

A cable crew working  in the area Tuesday hit the 48-inch-main,sending water everywhere. However, several business in the area -- including Art Van Furniture and Andiamo's Restaurant -- were able to remain open for business.

Repairs took longer than officials originally anticipated -- the detour affecting drivers in Warren and Sterling Heights Tuesday afternoon through late Wednesday morning.

Fourteen Mile Road, between Hollingsworth and Sterling Ponds, reopened before 10 a.m.
