Mulally Earns Over $26 Million: Ford Motor Releases 2010 Proxy
DEARBORN (WWJ) - It looks like 2010 was a good year for the wallet of Ford CEO Alan Mullally. Ford's proxy statement released Friday indicates he earned over $26 million in salary and compensation.
Mulally earned a $1,400.000 salary, along with a $9-million cash bonus. The rest of his compensation came through stock.
Last month Ford Motor and Alan Mulally were criticized for the large bonuses given to Mulally (and others). The Detroit News reported at that time that Mulally was defending his bonus and the performance of Ford Motor Company.
"It's clearly established by the board of directors and it's tied to the performance of the Ford Motor Co.," Mulally told reporters outside the White House after a meeting of the President's Export Council. "I am absolutely pleased with what the Ford team, all stakeholders have done to create an exciting, profitably growing Ford for all of us."
