DETROIT (WWJ) – It’s another busy weekend for road construction. Before you hit the road, make sure to double check your route to avoid delays.
In Oakland County, beginning at 9 pm. on Friday and ending at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the right two lanes of eastbound I-96 will be closed over Milford Road for bridge maintenance. During the same time frame, the ramp from southbound Milford Road to eastbound I-96 will be closed. Traffic will be routed to the northbound Milford ramp.
Also in Oakland County, Novi Road will be closed between Grand River Avenue and 10 Mile Road in Novi during the weekends of May 7-8 and May 14-15. Traffic will be routed to 10 Mile Road to Meadowbrook Road to Grand River and back to Novi Road and vice versa.
In Macomb County, the left lane of eastbound and westbound I-94 will be closed between 8 Mile and 10 Mile roads for ongoing construction. The lane closures begin at 9 p.m. on Friday and ends by 5 a.m. on Monday.
Also in Macomb County, a traffic switch is scheduled on the bridge repair work on M-3 over the Clinton River in the Mt. Clemens area. Beginning at midnight on Friday, northbound M-3 will have two lanes open, while southbound M-3 will have a single lane open on the northbound side of Gratiot over the Clinton River. Southbound traffic will be routed onto Clinton River Drive and Wellington-Crescent during this stage of the project which is expected to last until late October.
