NOVI (WWJ) – A major traffic headache is coming to a busy area of Metro Detroit. But, when it’s all complete, WWJ’s John Bailey says motorists who travel Novi Road will enjoy relief from a chronic pinch point.
Novi Road will be widened to five lanes with a center turn lane, and a bridge will be built to take traffic over the railroad tracks.
Unfortunately, that work will require a six-month shutdown of Novi Road between Grand River and 10 Mile Road starting next week, possibly as early as Monday, May 23.
Access to local businesses will be maintained, but through-traffic will need to use Beck Road or Meadowbrook instead.
