Nate Burleson Joins Valenti And Foster

Earlier today people were commenting on the TV interview that Nate Burleson did last night in Seattle. Nate talked about 35 players going to the Lions player-organized workouts and how Detroit isn’t the most desirable city to go to. Well people really took his comments out of context. Nate was talking about the weather in the city of Detroit at this time of the year. Burleson called into Valenti and Foster this afternoon to clarify himself. Take a listen to the podcast below.

I agree and if anything I blame people for trying to dig deeper into this than needs to be. Hell has any former Lion team ever made this type of effort out of their own pocket to try to win a championship?

NB I am not mad at you. And even if you made it a negative statement, it is what it is, because Detroit is what it is. The people helped make it this way with the bafoonery of the politricks in that City. We have corrupt cop stories, playboy majors closed minded city council need I go on? I love the D but I am not scared to admit the truth so they can grow up grow forward and move the flock on!!!!!!!!

  2. Rob B. says:

I can understand why some people were put off by that comment, I mean, Detroit has been burned before by people who didn’t like it.

That being said, no one can question the dedication of Nate B. He talks weekly during the season on this station. He catches TD’s and works his ass off for the Lions. The proof is in the pudding, and Nate would make Cosby proud!

No hard feelings to Burly, in fact, I like him even more now, and I can’t wait to see him and CJ tear it up! (given that they get a chance).
